  • Remove the screw that holds the cover on the Fuel Filter
 
  • This one didn't but it should have a fiber and metal washer
 
  • Remove the cover
 
  • Remove the gasket
 
 
 
  • It should have a wavy lock washer
 
 
  • It should also have a wavy lock washer
 
 
  • Remove the Float Pivot Pin
 
 
 
  • Inspect the rubber tip of the Needle (if you are taking the carb apart you should REPLACE it)
 
  • Inspect the Float for cracks
  • If it has liquid inside REPLACE it
 
  • Remove the float assembly gasket
 
 
 
 
 
 
  • Remove the Starter Jet
 
 
 
  • Dissemble the Main Jet using a pick tool
 
 
 
  • Remove screw holding the Choke in
 
  • Remove the Choke
 
 
  • Remove the Overflow Gasket
 
  • Remove the Mixture Screw
 
  • Remove the screws holding the Slide Assembly
 
  • Remove the Slide
 
 
 
  • CLEAN the carb by soaking it over night in Carburetor Cleaner (never soak anything rubber of plastic it will be ruined)
  • Where gloves this stuff will eat your hands
  • Blow ALL passage ways with compressed air
  • Purchase a new Rebuild Kit
  • Put it back together

 

 
  • Install the rubber into the slide cover
 
 
  • Install the rod
 
 
  • Install the slide
 
 

 

 
  • Install the slide assembly
 
 
  • Tighten the screws
 
  • Install the Choke
 
  • Tighten the screw
 
  • Replace the overflow gasket
 
  • Install the Mixing Screw (I always screw it tight then back it out 1 1/2 turns or 3 half turns)
 
 

 

 
  • Install the Starter Jet
 
  • Install the NEW Float assembly gasket

 

 
  • Install the NEW Needle onto the Float
 
  • Insert the Needle and Float into the Float Assembly
 
  • Install the Pin
 
  • Install the Float Ass into the body of the Carburetor
 
  • The Long Screw goes on the front side (front being front of the bike)
 
  • The Short Screw goes on the back
 
  • Install the Fuel Filter
 
  • Install the new Gasket (the kit comes with a Rubber one and a Paper one I prefer the Paper)
 
  • Install the Paper Washer

 

 
  • Install the Metal Washer
 
  • Install the Screw
 
  • Note: this step will actually happen when you install the motor into the bike but I show you how to do it anyway
  • Install the Large Fiber washer

 

 
  • Install the Smaller one onto the Banjo Screw
 
  • Put the Screw into the Banjo
 
  • Tighten the Screw (Not too tight you don't want to strip it)
 
  • Now install it on the motor
