M 3118005: Malossi 177 Cylinder Kit Aluminum Sport
This is the Malossi 177 Sport kit. It is aluminum with nickasil lining. It features a 2 ring piston for durability like the cast cylinder but also has the replaceable exhaust flange like the more expensive MHR cylinder. This also has the new Malossi head that features cooling fins between the head and cylinder for better cooling. This kit will easily put you in the +18HP range with a larger carb, better pipe, and port match cases. This cylinder head uses the longer NGK E length plugs. This cylinder is also designed to work with the electric flywheel of the PX and Stella models. The bolt on exhaust flange does require a slight modification to the swingarm so that one of the bolts has clearance.
*This is a performance part and as such requires setup during installation like, setting ring gap, chamfering ports, squish check, proper jetting, timing, break in periods, and often other components to be replaced to become reliable. Manufacturers label these as race parts and do not warranty race parts except when a part is defective before installation.*
