This is a folding kickstart lever from SIP. It flips up so the lever isn't pointing out to the side. Not really an aerodynamic increase so it's not going to make you bike faster but it's cool. It may save you from scratching one of your other bikes when your trying to jam them in your lawn shed so your wife doesn't notice you bought another one.
The lower portion that attaches to the quadrant is aluminum and the flip portion is steel and both sections are powder coated for durability.
